Pediatric Allergist

Melanie Conway, MD FRCPC

Dr. Melanie Conway obtained her medical degree at McMaster University. She then completed a Pediatric residency and Pediatric Allergy and Clinical Immunology fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. In addition to her clinic at Kindercare Pediatrics, she also works at an allergy clinic on Bayview Avenue.

Dr. Conway has a special interest in Oral Immunotherapy. She runs the Oral Immunotherapy Program at Kindercare with Dr. Amiirah Aujnarain. She is also very passionate about the primary prevention of food allergy. Dr. Conway is a proud mom of two children. When she's not working or chasing her kids around, her favourite hobby is skiing!

Pediatric Allergist

Amiirah Aujnarain,
MD FRCPC

Dr. Aujnarain studied medicine at the University of Ottawa. At the Hospital for Sick Children, she completed her Pediatrics training and completed her subspecialty training in Allergy and Immunology. She loves being on the cutting edge of research and new therapies since completing her Master’s degree in Immunology at McMaster. Her special interests include both immune therapy and targeted biologic therapy for allergic diseases. She has presented at conferences both nationally and internationally in regards to diseases of the immune system. Most recently, Dr. Aujnarain’s focus has been food immunotherapy and she works alongside Dr. Conway providing oral immunotherapy for children.

Outside of academia and medicine, Dr. Aujnarain enjoys trying new foods as well travelling to new places. On a weekly basis, you can find her enjoying the latest movie as her favourite pastime is watching a great flick!
